Dylan Hammett

Growing up in a musical environment, Dylan Hammett began playing the guitar with her father at age 9. She started writing her original songs by age 13. Now 20 years old, she has written over fifty songs and has been performing at local clubs, restaurants, and events around Norman and Oklahoma City area for the last 7 years.

Her debut album "13 STEPS" chronicles the road to self-destruction and the come back of her youth. The majority of the songs were written when she was 14 and recently recorded. This album has the depth in emotions and lyrics that defies her age. For the connoisseur of music that looks beyond the boundaries of pop this debut album has the depth and artistic insight of a veteran of life, this is a must listen.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic baskets to enjoy the free outdoor show.

The Summer Breeze Concert Series, one of Norman’s favorite summer activities for nearly a decade, is just around the corner.

The Performing Arts Studio, which produces the popular series of 10 free outdoor Sunday evening concerts, today announced the 2010 schedule.

“As in years past, we are offering a great mixture of local artists and national acts that represent a diverse variety of musical styles,” said PAS Summer Breeze Committee co-chairman Mark Levy. “There really is something for everybody.”
