I am an analog guy trapped in a digital world where structure is hidden behind symbols understood best by those who cannot read. I take small comfort in the discovery that cappuccino is merely a richer version of the kind of coffee granny made for little boys and espresso is very close to the brew Grandma boiled in her skillet, but without the grit I liked to chew. I hope to discover the meaning of latte by the time I learn the new icons on my computer screen just before they shuffle them all again. Alvin Turner
