Oklahoma fog Sandburg’s little cat feet May come into the bay But here the fog lies like Wet smoke on a morning meadow It sprouts overnight Grows soft and rank, low to the ground Hovers briefly then with daybreak Sinks to a puddle Soon to be licked up by the barnyard cat Fresh off a night of Hunting snakes and mice
